Fine Dining PEI
So you’re interested in experimenting with the finer foods of PEI. Restaurant PEI will provide, what we think, are the top 5 fine dining restaurants on the island.

1. Pilot House
Located in a historic sandstone building, the Pilot House features excellent steaks, ribs and, of course, fresh seafood. There’s also a pub menu for those who want something lighter. Our favorite place to go and sweet potato fries that will knock your socks off… love them! The service has always been excellent, and we’ve yet to have a meal that wasn’t up to par. The prices are very reasonable too. Our favs are the crab stuffed mushrooms and the bowtie chicken. We can’t recommend the place highly enough.

2. Maple Grille
The atmosphere is nice, the servers are friendly, the music is comforting and the food is above average overall. It’s relaxed and not rushed or overwhelmed. Average lunch bill comes to $40 for the appetizers, lunch, 1 coffee and 1 dessert. Our experience was pleasant enough and the food delicious, we would give it a 4 star rating.

3. DayBoat
These guys have one of the best menus on PEI. We know that it’s yet another seafood restaurant but chef Sean Furlong seems to know what he is doing, experimenting with new flavours that really shine. The dining room is rustic yet comfortable with a great view of the water. The service is great, very relaxed yet very professional, a must visit in the summer.

4. Off Broadway
Affiliated with The Great George , this friendly upscale restaurant has the feel of an intimate, wood-paneled English eating house. At dinner, its dimness can be downright romantic, though the proximity of other diners might be a slight deterrent to popping the question then and there. It’s known for an unusually wide selection of crepes (some filled with seafood), as well as steaks, salmon, island shellfish, and the like; the bar upstairs is quite nice as well.

5. Sirenella Ristorante
Sirenella is a locally popular spot that offers great value when the service staff and kitchen are both operating smoothly. When all systems are go, you’ll understand why the place has diehard fans who swear by its most popular dishes, including the grilled calamari, and ravioli with ricotta, spinach, and prosciutto. Sirenella is tucked on a quiet side street and could be considered either romantically intimate or claustrophobic, depending on your mood. For unparalleled authentic Northern Italian food, you can’t beat Sirenella. It is a cliché, but this is PEI’s best kept dining secret
