Take Out PEI
Looking for a quick meal with great value? PEI has some great take out restaurants to offer. Listed below are what Restaurant PEI evaluates as the best take out on the island.

1. Urban Eatery
Never been disappointed yet – and we have tried all 5 places they have. Staff is very courteous and knowledgeable, and all the food is of superior quality, well prepared. Best pizza on the Island, by far. …..haven’t even tried the fries yet, but that’s next. Soups are highly original and fresh, not watery and overly salted like in most places. They offer original soups on a daily basis.

2. Frosty Treat
Let’s just say that this is a special place. Whether it is a hot summers day and ice cream is all you can think of, this is the place to go. Even if you are craving some deep fried goodness and a real hamburger Frosty Treat is PEI’s top notch Dairy Bar. Be prepared to see a huge line up as the world knows that it is worth the wait.

3. Sam’s Restaurant
If you want a large helping of food, at a reasonable price, then Sam’s Family Restaurant is your spot. At Sam’s you will get great service and hot fresh food every time. Always a popular spot so be prepared for a lineup at peak times. Worth the wait even if you’re starving.

4. Gillis Drive-IN
For the best ‘value-for-money’, drive to scenic Montague. Once in Montague, drive 2 minutes north of the Montague Bridge, just past the cemetery, and you’ll find Gillis’ Drive-in. Get car service or (our preference) go inside and sit in a booth surrounded by ‘Diner’ atmosphere. Order the chicken club sandwich ($7.50), or the fish & chips (maybe a dollar more). Very good food, simple & fresh. A nostalgic bargain!

5. Brit’s Fish and Chips
You can always count on Brit’s to serve up some classic fish and chips. They have been around for a while and there’s a reason. If you’re hankering for some fish, try any of their main fish and chips combos or you can get a little adventurous and go for something off their “ Traditional British Pub Fare” menu. We haven’t been disappointed yet.
